Conference "Global and Regional Determinants of Trilateral Cooperation"

On 5th of June, 2018 Rondeli Foundation, the Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAM) and the Center for Strategic Research of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Turkey (SAM) jointly organized an international conference entitled “Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey: Global and Regional Determinants of Trilateral Cooperation”.

Ekaterine Metreveli, President of Rondeli Foundation, Dr. Farhad Mammadov, Director, Center for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan (SAM) and H.E. Fatma Ceren Yazgan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia welcomed the audience.

The keynote speaker, Tengiz Pkhaladze, Advisor to the President of Georgia, Foreign Relations Secretary opened the conference. He emphasized the importance of the cooperation between the countries in the region. “This trilateral cooperation is not just transit cargo or energy services, this is a corridor for discussion of east-west cooperation,”- noted Tengiz Pkhaladze.

During the conference the experts, policymakers, representatives of NGOs, academia and diplomatic corps from Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey discussed the global and regional challenges and perspectives of the trilateral cooperation.
