Educational visit to the Estonian School of Diplomacy (Georgia's Future Civil Service Leaders)

In the framework of Georgia's Future Civil Service Leaders, the participants visited the Estonian School of Diplomacy.

Participants of the project visited the Parliament and had an opportunity to meet Marko Mihkelson, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the parliament of Estonia. Public servants  also met with the head of the political team of the European Commission Representation in Estonia - Jane Õispuu  and and U.S. Chargé d'Affaires - Gabrielle Cowan. The participants also visited the E-Estonia Briefing Center and learned about Estonia's path to digital development.

In addition to the meetings, civil servants attended daily thematic discussions, including lectures by Keit Kasemets and Rene’ Värk, where they discussed the impact of the Russian-Ukraine war on the European Security and ways to deal with international crime, as well as a discussion on EU energy security and national cyber security legislation, led by the Rector of the Estonian Business School Meelis Kitsing and former director of national cyber security at the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Communications - Raul Rikk. Another discussion was held by Taavi Toom about public and digital diplomacy on the example of Estonia.

At the end of the study visit, the director of the Estonian School of Diplomacy - Eke Nom, and the Ambassador SExtraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Estonia, Archil Karaulashvili, presented certificates to the participants.
