Russians forces took Vojevodivka after heavy fighting, cutting off Rubizhne from Severodonetsk. As a consequence, Ukrainian forces withdrew from the part of Rubizhne that had remained under their control to avoid being surrounded. After a two months-long battle Russians managed to establish control over Rubizhne.

To the west of Severodonetsk, the Russian attempt to cross the Siverskyi Donets River near Bilohorivka ended in disaster with Russians sustaining heavy losses.

Fighting was also reported northwest of Severodonetsk, in Pryvillya village.
