This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.

 

Donbas Area – Northeast

Ukrainian troops completed their withdrawal from the city of Lysychansk which was then captured by Russian forces.

West and northwest of Lysychansk Russians took over Zolotarivka, Shypylivka, Novodruzhesk, and Verkhnokamyanka the defense of which by Ukrainians had served its purpose once Ukrainian forces completed their withdrawal from the area of potential encirclement within and nearby Lysychansk.

Heavy fighting was taking place in Bilohorivka at the time of writing. A little to the south, Russians took Spirne with intense fighting continuing in the area of this village.

East of Bakhmut, Russians took village Klynove after about 10 days of fighting.

Donbas Area – North

Russians took village Mazanivka located west of Krasnopillya.

Russian attacks in the area of Dolyna, Krasnopillya and Bohorodychne continued, and remained unsuccessful, during the reported period.

 

Donbas Area – Southeast

Russians conducted attacks in Mar’inka and south of Avdiivka without success.

 

Donbas Area – South and Zaporizhzhia Area

Ukrainians continued their attacks northwest of Polohy, and at other spots of the frontline in these areas, without new reported notable advance.

Black Sea Area

In the north of the frontline in this area, Ukrainians liberated village Ivanivka (south of the previously liberated Mykolaivka) and launched fighting for nearby Arkhanhelske. Village Olhyne located in the same area likely was liberated as well.

Northwest of Kherson city, Ukrainians liberated village Myrne, and took back control over Pravdyne where Russians had previously counterattacked.

In an effort to halt Ukrainian advance towards Kherson city, Russians kept counterattacking in the area of village Kyselivka.

 

Kharkiv Area

Russians attacked near villages Prudyanka and Dementiivka without success.

In Rubizhne, which had been retaken by Russians in May, prolonged fighting involving the two sides exchanging attacks and counterattacks ended with Russians remaining in control of the town.
