Georgia’s ruling party officials and other figures congratulate CCP on 100th anniversary

On July 2, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, Chinese Embassy in Georgia created a website, cn.ge. 17 videos have been published on the website, including those of the Chinese Ambassador, Georgia’s ruling party representatives and other figures congratulating the CCP on its anniversary.

Chinese Ambassador to Georgia Li Yan praised “achievements” of the Chinese Communist Party, and also talked about China’s role in the global order. “China is actively participating in global affairs and promotes creating a more rational international order,” the Ambassador said. She said that Xi Jinping's Belt and Road Initiative and the concept of the community with shared future for mankind were the new vision of world development that gave countries more opportunities. “Political trust between two countries is straightening more and more, and mutually beneficial cooperation in different fields is increasingly developing,” Li Yan said on China-Georgia relations. She noted that the Chinese side together with the Georgian side was ready to promote bilateral relations and to raise cooperation in various fields to the new level.  

The Chairman of Georgia’s ruling Georgian Dream party, Irakli Kobakhidze, also congratulated Georgia’s “partner and friendly country, the People's Republic of China and its people on the 100th anniversary of the ruling party”. According to Kobakhidze, “with the party's effort, China achieved great progress that the whole world sees clearly”. Irakli Kobakhidze said he was glad that the relationship between the two countries was at such a high level. “There is a close political relationship between the two countries. China supports Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, Georgia is an unwavering supporter of the One-China policy,” the Chairman said, expressing hope that Georgia-China relations would be deepened.

CEO of Georgia’s Partnership fund, a ruling Georgian Dream party member and the Chairman of the Georgia-China Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Trade Cooperation David Saganelidze congratulated the CCP on its 100th anniversary as well. He said that after the opening of China, and the achievements in its economic and civic development, China managed to be at the center of global attention: “China undoubtedly is one of the determiners of the global politics and economics of the 21st century,” Saganelidze said, adding that this was an achievement of the course and reforms of the ruling party. “The ruling party of China under the leadership of President Xi Jinping aimed to maintain a balance between material and spiritual needs and the flourishing of the ancient values of the Chinese civilization. Respect for values and building a unified, developed connection is the main axis of the Belt and Road Initiative, that responds to the demands of Chinese diplomacy and aims the promotion of worldwide prosperity, unified, systemic development and the establishment of common values. We also hope and wish to successfully become a part and the main participant of the New Silk Road project, Belt and Road Initiative,” Saganelidze said. He remembered the words of Xi Jinping from the 2019 Shanghai International expo - “The stronger the world, the stronger China. And the stronger China is, the stronger the world will be”. Saganelidze “humbly” added his version of the quote: “the stronger the world and China, the stronger my Georgia will be”.

Georgian Ambassador to China Archil Kalandia also congratulated the CCP on its 100th anniversary. “With the gradual and successful policy of Communist party, the Peoples’ Republic of China had become a country of global importance. Socialism with Chinese characteristics proves its efficiency and the economic situation of the country has drastically improved,” Kalandia stated. He said that Georgia-China bilateral and multilateral relations were developing dynamically. Kalandia noted that Georgia actively participated in the Belt and Road Initiative. The Ambassador once again thanked China for pandemic cooperation. With the leadership of CCP, he wished the Chinese people to reach new achievements.

The ruling Georgian Dream party MP and the head of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of the People’s Republic of China, Giorgi Amilakhvari congratulated Chinese friends and partners on the CCP’s 100th anniversary as well. He commented on Georgia-China relations, saying that it was developing intensively in various fields. Amilakhvari noted that China was one of the strongest players and the second economy in the world: “It speaks that the reforms and governance that is in the People's Republic of China is very correct and dynamic development-orientated”. After commenting on China’s “poverty alleviation” he said that today China was one of the most important players of peace politics.

An adviser to the Georgian Minister of Agriculture and the Director of the Research Institute of China Studies at the Georgian Technical University Jemal Putkaradze congratulated and praised the CCP. "The whole world observes visible achievements and actions that the PRC achieved with the CCP’s wise governance”. He said that in 1949, new China was established and in his opinion, people became the rulers of their destiny.

In his congratulatory speech, former Ambassador of Georgia to China David Aptsiauri praised CCP’s role in China’s achievements. Aptsiauri welcomed the development of Georgia-China cooperation and friendship. 

The Director of the Confucius Institute at the Free University of Tbilisi, Marine Jibladze, also congratulated CCP’s “excellent” date of the party's 100th anniversary. She said that China's international status was constantly improving. Marine Jibladze claimed that China treated all countries equally, regardless of their size: “China develops relations with countries based on equality, friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation, and builds a harmonious world”.

The President of the Georgia-China Cultural Center Silk Road Liu-Kandareli Kuangwen congratulated the CCP on the 100th anniversary. She shared her view on the beginning of the CCP that “the march to independence, power and freedom was possible only based on the Communist Party and the desire to move forward”.

Professor of Batumi State University, former deputy speaker of the Parliament of Georgia Irakli Nakashia joined congratulatory videos on the CCP’s 100th anniversary. Nakashia remembered his 2019 visit to China, where he met China’s Health Ministry representatives, heads of “famous” medical companies and said that it was an “unforgettable, emotional, positive meeting” and noted how progressive China was today. 

Giorgi Verulidze, the President of the Georgian National Wushu Federation, joined others and congratulated CCP on its anniversary, saying the following: “The Chinese Communist Party is the vanguard of the Chinese working-class people and the Chinese nation, the core of socialism with Chinese characteristics. The highest ideal of the party and its ultimate goal is the realization of communism”.

President of Media Holding Georgian Times Malkhaz Gulashvili also congratulated the CCP on its 100th anniversary: “This is a unique party and they are not the kind of communists which we saw in the Soviet Union... Even today, I am amazed by the achievements that the CCP has brought to the Chinese people. Under the wise guidance of Xi Jinping, China is on the right track. Business is developing, also social justice, new technologies”. He praised China’s “achievements” and positively assessed Georgia-China relations. In his opinion, contacts between Chinese and Georgian public figures, such as TV bridges, should be intensified. Gulashvili said that his television, radio, news agency and newspaper were ready to do so.

Executive Director of TV-Radio Company TV 24 Badri Nachkebia said that the CCP has played a very big role in strengthening China: “Of course, this is not just your celebration, but that of all your friends”.

Avtandil Otinashvili, the Director of news agency NewsDay Georgia stated that China was at the top of the list of the world’s leading superpowers and the Communist Party had a major contribution in this. He acknowledged that NewsDay was in close cooperation with Chinese state media Xinhua and also with China’s Embassy in Georgia. As Otinashvili said, together with the Embassy they had projects and journalists were visiting China to see the “country’s and the CCP's achievements”. He thinks that “Georgia must share the positive experience that China has achieved in 100 years - the biggest reforms since CCP's coming to power, in politics, economics, social issues and technology”. Otinashvili assessed CCP’s policy as “very successful”, while expressing hope that China would achieve more impressive results in foreign and domestic policy.

Lika Zhorzholiani, described on the cn.ge website as a “famous Georgian journalist” also took part in the series of congratulatory messages and said that from the very first day of the CCP's establishment, the main task of the Chinese Communist Party has been the happiness of its nation: “Modern China, as a key driving force of the global economy, plays a growing role in international development and cooperation”.

Director of the multimedia group FORYOU Mikheil Tarakhchevi also joined the others in celebration and said that China has shown the whole world that Chinese Communism was a unique phenomenon, with its own specific characteristics.

 

Azerbaijan invites Chinese companies to invest in industrial parks

On July 1, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy Mikayil Jabbarov said that Chinese companies could take advantage of the favorable business environment created in Azerbaijan and invest in its industrial parks. According to Trend, Jabbarov made the remark at a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Guo Min.

The minister informed the Chinese side of the reconstruction work in the territories regained after the 2020 Karabakh war and noted the possibility of the participation of Chinese companies in the reconstruction of the territories.

The Minister also spoke to the Ambassador about the transport and transit potential of Azerbaijan, the importance of the Trans-Caspian international transport route and the Zangezur corridor. Jabbarov noted that Azerbaijan attached great importance to relations with China and was interested in expanding bilateral cooperation in all spheres.

“Azerbaijan is one of the first states to support China's Belt and Road Initiative. Mutually expressed support for territorial integrity and sovereignty is of particular importance in the international arena [between] two countries,” he said.

The Minister also said that the Azerbaijan-China Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation was a platform for expanding ties between the two countries.

According to the report, Guo Min spoke about her vision of the directions for the development of economic ties between the two countries and expressed confidence that the Zangezur corridor would contribute to China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

The Ambassador also invited Jabbarov to visit the next China International Exhibition of Imported Goods and Services. They also discussed issues of strengthening economic partnership and growth of trade.

 

Armenian Media: Chinese Ambassador says that the Chinese side did not speak about “Zangezur corridor”

According to the Armenian news agency news.am, the Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Fan Yong said that the Chinese side did not speak about the Zangezur corridor.

Azerbaijani media reported that during the meeting with Azerbaijani Minister of Economy, Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Guo Min said that the Zangezur corridor would contribute to China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

On July 2, answering the question of news.am as to whether he shares this position and agrees with that wording, Fan Yong said:

“The Chinese side has not expressed such an opinion… In connection with the issue you raised, I can say that we have already discussed it with our Azerbaijani counterparts.”

Fan Yong also expressed the hope that the conflict between Armenia and Azerbaijan would be settled through negotiations.

 

Aliyev congratulates CCP on the 100th anniversary

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, congratulated Xi Jinping on the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, China Daily reported on June 30.

According to the Chinese media, Aliyev said that the Chinese Communist Party had led China to reach “outstanding achievements” in various fields and noted that it benefited the people of China and the world.

 

Garibashvili: China has achieved unprecedented development

Georgia’s Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili said that under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, China has achieved unprecedented development achievements and he “wholeheartedly” wished China to continue to achieve long-term development and lasting prosperity, Chinese state media agency Xinhua reported on July 2.

 

Pashinyan to Xi Jinping: The achievements of the CCP continued and multiplied under your leadership

Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan congratulated General Secretary of CCP Xi Jinping on the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, Armradio reported on July 1.

“The achievements of the CCP continued and multiplied under your leadership. This landmark year was marked by two key milestones: China achieved its centennial goal of overcoming extreme poverty and returned to the path of development by overcoming the COVID-19 pandemic,” Pashinyan stated in a letter.

Nikol Pashinyan wrote that Armenia was eager to further develop friendly relations and the ongoing mutually beneficial cooperation with China. He voiced confidence that the Armenian-Chinese relations would continue to strengthen and deepen for the benefit of the two countries and peoples.

In his letter, Armenian PM also claimed that the Chinese Communist Party won the Chinese people’s trust since its inception by “defying numerous challenges and leading the country along the path of sovereignty, empowerment and socio-economic development”.

 

Chinese Ambassador on China-Georgia relations: Political trust is constantly growing

On July 1, the Chinese Ambassador to Georgia gave an interview to Georgian newspaper Resonance. The Ambassador discussed the CCP, its “achievements” and China-Georgia relations.

Li Yan said that the friendly relations between China and Georgia were developing in a healthy and stable manner, political trust was constantly growing, mutually beneficial cooperation was developing in various fields, while contacts in the field of education and culture were expanding.

 

President of Armenia congratulates Xi Jinping on the CCP’s anniversary

On June 29, Armenian President Armen Sarksyan congratulated the General Secretary of the Chinese Communist Party Xi Jinping on the 100th anniversary of the CCP.

According to the Chinese media, he said that the Chinese Communist Party led the Chinese people to win the great victory of national liberation, walked on the path of independence and sustainable development, formulated long-term strategic goals, advanced bravely, and attracted world attention.

 

Chinese Ambassador: We work on attracting Chinese investors to Armenia

Chinese Ambassador to Armenia said that the Chinese side was working on attracting Chinese investors to Armenia, Armenpress reported on July 2.

“We work on attracting Chinese investors to Armenia. At the moment we are discussing the cooperation in different directions, working on increasing the tourism flow from China to Armenia. We hope that the Armenian business would activate in the Chinese market. Chinese people like Armenian-made goods a lot, including alcoholic drinks. Our country likes the Armenian brandy and wine a lot, as well as we are interested in the copper and much more produced here,” Fan Yong said.

He stated that many initiatives between Armenia and China were not implemented because of the pandemic and the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war.

“Armenia and China have established friendly relations, there is a high level of cooperation. At the beginning of the establishment of diplomatic ties the trade turnover was $ 200 000, but last year it approached $ 1 billion. For us, the purpose of cooperation with a friendly country is to contribute to raising and developing the living standards of that country’s population. We are ready to share our development experience with Armenia”, he stressed.

 

Georgia receives new batches of Chinese vaccines

On July 2, Georgia received 1 million doses of the Chinese Sinovac and Sinopharm vaccines (500 thousand each), Civil.ge reported.

Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Garibashvili also said that the Georgian authorities expected additional half-million doses of Sinopharm and Sinovac each in the coming weeks.

 

Serzh Sargsyan to Xi Jinping: CCP is one of the key international partners for the Republican Party of Armenia

Former President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a congratulatory message to the General Secretary of the CCP Xi Jinping on the occasion of its 100th anniversary, news.am reported on July 1.

“The Chinese Communist Party is one of the key international partners for the Republican Party of Armenia. We praise the fact that a memorandum of cooperation was signed between the Republican Party of Armenia and the People’s Republic of China during the visit of our delegation to Beijing in November 2017, laying a strong foundation for a deep and comprehensive partnership between our political parties in the future,” Sargsyan wrote.

 

Azercosmos partners with Chinese SatelliteHerd on the Ground Satellite Station

On July 2, Azerbaijan Satellite Operator Azercosmos announced that it was partnering with SatelliteHerd, a high-tech company and “one of the leaders” of the commercial space industry in China.

According to Azertac, under the long-term agreement, SatelliteHerd installed a 4.2-meter antenna at Azercosmos’ Ground Station (AGS), located on the Absheron peninsula in Azerbaijan.

The report said that the antenna would enable SatelliteHerd to monitor satellites’ status, process transmitted data, and control telemetry between satellites and satellite networks operating in space.

Mark Guthrie, Chief Commercial Officer at Azercosmos said that despite the great geographical distance between China and Azerbaijan, this was a major achievement. He said he believed that SatelliteHerd’s strategy would provide Azercosmos with the ability to look to the entire satellite market for further innovation and solutions.

“The unique and precise position of Azercosmos Ground Satellite Station will allow us to provide high-performance services that will increase our service for commercial satellites capability this year and beyond,” said Licheng Yang, Vice President of International Business at SatelliteHerd.

 

Conference dedicated to CCP’s 100th anniversary held in Yerevan

An international conference dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party “Rethinking China’s Rise under the Governance of the CPC: Achievements, Initiatives and Prospects Conference” was held in Yerevan, Armenia, news.am reported on July 2.

The conference was organized by China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Research in partnership with the Institute of Oriental Studies, National Academy of Sciences with support by the Embassy of China in Armenia.

Armenian President Armen Sarksyan stated that Armenia attached great importance to the further development of relations with China in different spheres.

Chinese Ambassador to Armenia Fan Yong said that seeking happiness for the people was the original mission of the Chinese Communist Party.

Zheng Wei, General Secretary of the Good Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation Commission of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, noted that the Chinese Communist Party was concerned about the future and destiny of humanity and worked hand in hand with all progressive forces in the world.

Robert Ghazaryan, Director of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia, said that one of the most important pages in the modern history of China was the path of the Chinese Communist Party.

The Director of the China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Studies Mher Sahakyan noted that due to skillful management, the Chinese leadership has managed to make the country one of the leaders in the field of science, technology and industry in just a few decades.

Other figures also delivered speeches during the conference, including: Vakhtang Charaia (Head of the TSU Center for Analysis and Forecasting, Affiliated professor at Business and Technology University, Georgia), Artur Israyelyan (Vice-rector for International Cooperation and Public Relations of Yerevan State University), Varuzhan Geghamyan (Assistant professor, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Yerevan State University), Ruben Elamiryan (Chair of the  Department of World Politics and International Relations, Russian-Armenian University in Armenia), Aram Abajyan (Researcher at National Academy of Sciences in Armenia), Anahit Parzyan (from China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Research in Armenia), Zheng Yuntian (Director of the World Socialism Institute, Renmin University of China), Bin Ma (Associate Professor at the Center for Russian and Central Asian Studies, Institute of International Studies, Fudan University in China) and other scholars from Russia, Serbia, the UAE and other countries.

The conference hosted Acting Minister of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia Narek Mkrtchyan, President of National Academy of Sciences Ashot Saghyan, President of the AGBU-Armenia Vasken Yacoubian, Councilor of the PRC Embassy in Armenia Zhou Hongyou, Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Ruben Melkonyan, Head of the Department of Asian and Pacific Region of the MFA Mnatsakan Safaryan, Director of Yerevan School of Political Studies Armen Zakaryan and others.

 

Director of the China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Studies: Armenia needs to understand what it can offer China within the framework of BRI

During the conference in Yerevan dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party, the Director of the China-Eurasia Council for Political and Strategic Studies Mher Sahakyan said that Armenia needs to understand what it can offer China within the framework of the Belt and Road Initiative Project, an Armenian news agency reported on July 2.

“Taking into account the fact that China has become the second superpower, Armenia also needs to understand what political and economic goals Beijing is pursuing. When the West and Russia talk about a turn in the East, Armenia also needs to think about the development of its relations with China. Armenia has expressed willingness to participate in the One Belt One Road project, but there are still no programs that can help engage investments. Amid this, hundreds of millions of dollars have been invested in Georgia and Azerbaijan, $7,000,000,000 has been invested in Turkey, and several billion have been invested in Iran. Armenia needs to understand what it can offer, and it has real potential for that,” he said.

Sahakyan also noted that the country could consider the establishment of an Armenian-Chinese technology university.

 

Azerbaijani diplomat says that China is a steadfast builder of peace

On July 2, Azerbaijani Diplomat Yashar Aliyev, the Permanent Representative of Azerbaijan to the United Nations, previously the Ambassador to the USA, gave an interview to a Chinese news agency.

Regarding China, he said that over the past 50 years in the UN, China has shown itself as “a steadfast builder of peace, vital contributor to global development and staunch defender of the international order. There is no doubt that China will continue to play this crucial role in the 21st century”.

 

Armenian Ambassador: China’s development achievements are rare in the history of mankind

On July 2, the Chinese state media agency reported comments of the Armenian Ambassador to China Sergey Manassarian about China and CCP.

He claimed that in the past few decades, China’s development achievements were rare in the history of mankind.

“I think it is necessary to re-emphasize the role played by the Chinese Communist Party [in this process]. Without the strong leadership of the Chinese Communist Party, I do not think today’s grand phenomenon in China would have been possible to talk about,” Manassarian said.

On July 7, the Head of the Permanent Representation of the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic in Baku Bakhtiyar Asgarov met with the Chinese Ambassador to Azerbaijan Guo Min and discussed further developing bilateral relations between China and Azerbaijan as well as deepening political cooperation between China and Nakhchivan in various fields.

 

Hong-Kong, China among the top exporters of mobile phones to Georgia

In January-May 2021, Georgia imported mobile phones worth $ 79 million, Bm.ge reported on June 29.

China was the 5th biggest exporter of mobile phones to Georgia with $ 3.2 million, while Hong-Kong was at the top of the list with $ 20.9 million worth of mobile phones.

 

From early 2021, 47 container trains moved along the China-Azerbaijan/Georgia/Turkey route

On July 2, Trend reported that during the online event “Possible impact of the Zangezur corridor on transport and communication lines in the region” Deputy Secretary-General of the Trans-Caspian International Transport Route International Association Leila Batyrbekova said that “some 47 container trains have moved along the China-Azerbaijan/Georgia/Turkey route while four trains have moved along the Turkey-China route from early 2021 up till now”.

 

Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs is ready to deepen cooperation with Azerbaijan’s Nizami Ganjavi International Center

On June 30, in an interview with Azertac, President of the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs (CPIFA) Wang Chao said that CPIFA was ready to continue to deepen their friendly exchanges and cooperation with Nizami Ganjavi International Center (NGIC).

According to Wang Chao, the two have conducted “fruitful cooperation” since 2017. In March 2019, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev received CPIFA’s delegation, while in June 2019, CPIFA and NGIC co-hosted the XVII High-Level Beijing Meeting.

“The members of NGIC are eminent statesmen in Europe and beyond and they are CPIFA’s old friends. Some visited China at the invitation of CPIFA, some attended the XVII High-Level Beijing Meeting and the Understanding China Conference. During their stay in China, they carried out candid exchanges with Chinese officials and scholars and provided fresh insights into how to facilitate the positive interaction between China and the world, improve the global governance system and promote globalization and multi-polarization,” the President said.

Wang Chao said he hoped that through this they contribute to “the exchanges and mutual understanding among different civilizations, as well as world peace and development”, adding that he was looking forward to attending the Baku Global Forum in the end of 2021.

Georgian Embassy in China will promote more involvement of Georgian artists in the cultural life of China

On July 2, the Embassy of Georgia in Beijing and the Beijing Jingtai Art Museum organized an exhibition of works by a Georgian artist working in China, Alexandre Gelashvili.

Georgian Ambassador to China Archil Kalandia stressed the importance of intensifying direct contacts between the artists of the two countries and raising awareness of the Georgian culture in China. Kalandia said that after the pandemic, the embassy would promote even more involvement of Georgian artists in the cultural life of China.

 

Georgian media representative comments on the CCP’s anniversary

On July 3, Chinese state media Xinhua reported comments by foreign representatives on the 100th anniversary of CCP.

One of them was Avtandil Otinashvili, the Director of news agency, NewsDay Georgia, who said that the emergence of the CCP has profoundly changed the future and fate of the Chinese people and the Chinese nation and the tendency and pattern of world development.

Construction and rehabilitation of psychiatric hospitals in Georgia is planned with Chinese funds

As a part of Georgia’s Health Ministry’s 10-year plan, Georgian Health Minister Ekaterine Tikaradze said that with the funds of the Chinese government, construction of two new psychiatric hospitals and rehabilitation of two existing ones was planned in Tbilisi, 1TV reported on July 7.

On July 6, news.am reported that former President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the Chinese Communist Party and World Political Parties Summit.

Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan and Vice Chairman of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party and other representatives of New Azerbaijan Party as well as the Ambassador of China to Azerbaijan Guo Min also attended the event.

At the opening of the Summit, General Secretary of CCP Xi Jinping delivered his welcoming remarks.

On July 6, the Embassy of China in Azerbaijan held a photo exhibition - 100 Years of the Chinese Communist Party - at the ruling New Azerbaijan Party headquarters.

On July 7, the Ambassador of Georgia Archil Kalandia met with the Vice President of Peking University Wang Bo.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the possibility of establishing a Georgian corner at Peking University, where students will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the history and culture of Georgia.

They also discussed possible cooperation with relevant higher education institutions of Georgia.

According to the report of Peking University, Kalandia said that Georgia and China both have a long history, unique language, and that the two countries have already unfolded active cooperation in artificial intelligence, international law and the Belt and Road Initiative and other aspects, while many Georgian universities were looking forward to more direct exchanges with Peking University.

 

Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan: BRI transport corridor project implemented with China is of particular importance

Implementation of infrastructure projects in the Azerbaijani lands regained after the 2020 Nagorno-Karabakh war was one of the priority issues in Azerbaijan, Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Elnur Mammadov told Trend on July 7. He said that Azerbaijan, which played an important role in launching several international transport corridors, attached particular importance to these projects.

According to Mammadov, “the Belt and Road transport corridor project being implemented jointly with China is of particular importance”.

He noted that in this context, the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway played an important role.

 

Chinese Ambassador addressed the Chinese Bridge participants in Georgia

On July 8, the final of the Chinese Bridge Language Proficiency Competition for school children was held, organized by the Confucius Institute at Tbilisi Open University with the support of Chinese Embassy in Georgia and the Center for Language Education and Cooperation.

The Ambassador addressed the participants and introduced them to “great achievements” of China's development with the leadership of CCP. She told them to actively participate in the cause of friendship between China and Georgia.

On June 21, the Confucius Institute at Azerbaijan University of Languages held the Dragon Boat Festival Chinese cultural intellectual quiz contest, Azertac reported on July 6.
