This is a special issue of the Rondeli Russian Military Digest dedicated to the Russo-Ukrainian War, composed on the basis of numerous open sources.
Donbas Area – North and Oskil River Area Ukrainian forces crossed the Siverskyi Donets River at several places north of Slovyansk, eliminating the possibility of Russians using this potential defensive line. In particular, Ukrainians liberated the town of Svyatohirsk, continued the battle for Lyman were the Russian garrison continued resistance, crossed the river south of Yampil, and also crossed it south of Kreminna subsequently advancing towards this town. Ukrainians had also gained some territory east of the Oskil River, including near Borova. Thus Russians failed to exploit the Oskil-Siverskyi Donets river barrier that potentially could have protected, for a while, the whole northern part of their front.

Black Sea Area Ukrainians continued to slowly expand their breakthrough area across the Inhulets River. Villages Novohrednjeve and Mala Seidemynukha were noted to be under their control. Oleksandrivka on the coast west of Kherson city was confirmed to be back under Ukrainian control.
Donbas Area – Northeast Ukrainians liberated village Bilohorivka advancing a little towards the western outskirts of Lysychansk. Fighting continued on the whole line between village Spirne and the northern outskirts of Horlivka.
Donbas Area – Southeast Fighting without major changes continued in the areas of Pisky, Mar’inka and Novomykhailivka.
Donbas Area – South and Zaporizhzhia Area Fighting occurred on the sections of the frontline north of Tokmak and Polohy. |
