The Training Program “Policy Expertise for Georgian Government Officials” has Launched

On November 29, 2004 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies in partnership with the Canadian Bureau for International Education launched the training program for officials from 12 Georgian government agencies. The program focuses on effective policy analysis and implementation. This year’s program will consist of 16 seminars, including courses on how to design policy papers, how to conduct cost-benefit analyses and how to integrate gender into public policy. Thirty-five policy fellows will take part in these courses.  

The training program is the part of a four-year project by the Canadian Bureau and is implemented with the financial support of the Canadian International Development Agency. The project aims to build a professional policy community in Georgia, also in Armenia and Azerbaijan
