The project ''Strengthening Georgia’s EU Candidacy Efforts''

The project ''Strengthening Georgia’s EU Candidacy Efforts'' with the support of the Embassy of Lithuania in Georgia aims to raise public awareness on the importance of European integration and to monitor the implementation of the four most problematic points of the 12-point priorities. During the period of May-October 2023 GFSIS plans to carry out different activities listed below: 1. Series of public discussions with GSIS experts in the regions targeting representatives of the local NGOs and media. 2. Interviews with GFSIS experts in the regional radio channels to raise public awareness on the topic throughout population in the regions. 3. Capacity building of public servants on various aspects of EU integration policy. 4. Series of webinars on the topic 5. Monitoring of the implementation of the four most problematic points of the 12-point priorities: independent judiciary, depolarization, media and involvement of the CSOs. The project is expected to strengthen resilience of the targeted stakeholders against euro-sceptic rhetoric and misinformation and simultaneously, to increase support and public awareness about the progress on the implementation process of 12 recommendations set for obtaining EU candidate status.
