Graduation Ceremony and Welcoming Reception for the Training Program “Public Policy Knowledge Network”

On December 16, 2004 the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies along with the Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) organized at Tbilisi Marriott a graduation ceremony for this year’s Public Policy Knowledge Network fellows and a welcoming reception for the next cohort of the training program. The program focuses on the assistance in the field of public sector reform and is specifically concerned with public policy capacity building within the Georgian government. The Project involves ten ministries, the office of the Prime Minister and the President’s Administration.  The training course first opened in July 2003 and will continue to be implemented the next four years. Nine public administrators from different state agencies have already graduated from the course. Ambassador Alexander Rondeli, president of the Foundation and Kristina Wittfooth, Senior Director of International Development at CBIE presented the certificates to the graduates. 
 In total 34 government officials from different ministries are currently participating in the program.
