On April 8-10, 2008 Dan Tucker, of Dalhousie University (Halifax), delivered a series of lectures to the 2007-08 Public Policy Knowledge Network Policy Analysis Teams at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies.

Mr. Tucker is an expert in leadership and change management.  He currently serves as a Senior Advisor and Special Lecturer at the School of Public Administration at Dalhousie University where he teaches courses on Labor Management Relations and Change Management.

This training module represents the final training to be delivered under the 2007-08 Policy Analysis Team Program which will conclude in June.  Currently, the members of the Teams are working to finalize their policy deliverables under the guidance of program mentors Professor Vladimer Papava (the Georgin Foundation for Strategic and International Studies Senior Fellow), Dr. Alexander Rondeli (Foundation President) and Chief Canadian Technical Advisor, Mr. Paul Brown (Dalhousie University).

The Public Policy Knowledge Network project has assisted in building the competence and capacity of the Government of Georgia by advancing global standards and best practices in public administration to support public sector reform since 2003.  Specifically, the project has worked to augment the capability of the government to identify, refine and implement public policy options and alternatives.

The Ministries of Economic Development, Defense, Foreign Affairs and Education and Science, all reform oriented and with a previous engagement in the Public Policy Knowledge Network program, were selected as the participants for the pilot policy and analysis team project.
