Panel Discussion: “Non-Block Status - What it means for Georgia?”

On September 23, 2016 the panel discussion: “Non-Block Status - What it means for Georgia?” was held at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies. 
The speakers included Tornike Turmanidze, Associate Professor, (TSU) and Levan Aleksidze, Academician, Full Professor of International Law (TSU). The panel discussion was moderated by Irakli Menagarishvili, a former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Chair of Strategic Research Centre. 
The speakers discussed the possible scenarios which could follow the announcement of the neutral status for Georgia and illustrated the examples and history of other neutral, “non-block” countries. 
The representatives of governmental and non-governmental organizations as well as of diplomatic corps and expert community attended the panel discussion.
The event was followed by an engaging Q&A.
