The Chronic Poverty and Income Inequality in Georgia

The Project “The Chronic Poverty and Income Inequality in Georgia” aimed to analyze the dynamics of various poverty indicators in Georgia, to evaluate the scale of the Chronic Poverty in the country, to identify the factors and the profile of Long-term Poverty, analyze the persistence of Income Inequality in Georgia, to evaluate the Poverty Reduction Policy Agenda of the Government of Georgia (GoG) and to develop the policy recommendations.

The stakeholders and beneficiaries were the Government of Georgia, particularly the Ministry of Economic and Sustainable Development; the Ministry of Labor, Health and Social Affairs; Geostat and etc., as well as international organizations, relevant NGO’s, academic research centers, Think Tanks and media.

The Project was implemented by the Rondeli Foundation with the financial support of Friedrich Ebert Stiftung.
