Energy Security module by Theresa Sabonis-Helf

Energy Security Module, conducted by Theresa Sabonis-Helf, Professor of National Security Strategy at the National War College, started on June 1, 2020, at Rondeli Foundation. Like other projects, National Security and Public Policy Program switched to online lectures.

Dr. Sabonis-Helf has been teaching at the National War College, in Washington DC, since 2001. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Georgetown University in the Science, Technology and International Affairs Program and a member of the NATO Defence College’s Academic Advisory Board.

Previous module, titled Challenges for the West was conducted by Janusz Bugajski and lasted from May 18 to May 28.

Janusz Bugajski is a Senior Fellow at the Center for European Policy Analysis (CEPA) in Washington DC and host of the “New Bugajski Hour” television show broadcast in the Balkans. He has also authored more than 20 books on Europe, Russia, and trans-Atlantic relations.

Ross Harrison, professor in the Landegger Program at Georgetown University, conducted lectures on Introduction to Strategy from April 27 to May 13. During this course, on May 8, Marc Grossman was featured as a guest speaker and shared his experience on the subject. Marc Grossman is an American former diplomat and government official. He served as United States Ambassador to Turkey and Assistant Secretary of State for European Affairs. He was most recently the United States Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.

During this project, participants have the opportunity to learn about topics such Economics, International and National Security, Public Policy Analysis, Research Methods, Post-Soviet Space, Middle East, Strategic Communication, Energy Security and International Finances. Courses are delivered by the U.S. and Georgian experts and is supported by the U.S. Government.
