2015 / 11 / 06

On November 5,  2016 an opening lecture of the program “Capacity Building of the Georgian Leadership Community for Improved Decision-making and Negotiation Skills” was held at the Georgian Foundation for Strategic and International Studies (GFSIS).  Senior Fellow at GFSIS, Doctor of Economics Mr. Merab Kakulia delivered the opening seminar, discussing macroeconomic indicators with the participants.

The-eight-month long program entails training in public policy and negotiation skills, development of policy papers, public discussions and a study tour to Estonia carried out in partnership with the Estonian School of Diplomacy (ESD).

The program has been running since 2009. The new Cohort '15/16 represents 27 public servants from the Georgian Public Administration. The project is designed to assist the mid level government officials to gain leadership skills required to respond to the governance challenges and be more effective and efficient in their strategic decisions. The program is funded by the Swedish Agency for Development and Cooperation (Sida).
